A clear place to start.

Getting started with Pocket Accountant is a four-step routine: create a workspace, bring in records, review, and build a monthly routine. You don’t need to move your entire history on day one. Set up your workspace, add a few records, and build a routine from there.

  1. 01

    Create your workspace.

Create a free Starter account and verify your email. Add your business details, then choose and review the money categories that fit your work.

    You do
Confirm your business information and chart of accounts.

    Bring in your records.

Start with a current invoice, an expense, a vendor bill or a business trip. If you are switching tools, keep your original exports and agree on a starting date and opening balances with your accountant.

    You do
Enter records manually or upload supported files for review.

    Review before posting.

Check dates, amounts, accounts and supporting details. With Pro, review connected bank activity and Pocket Assistant suggestions before applying them.

    You do
Confirm what belongs in your books; investigate anything unfamiliar.
