Pocket Accountant Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement, eligibility, and changes

These Terms apply to users of the Pocket Accountant website, web app, mobile apps, and related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and represent that you can legally enter into the agreement. We may update the Terms or change, add, suspend, or discontinue features as the service evolves.

2. Your account and security

You are responsible for accurate registration information, safeguarding account credentials, activity under your account, and promptly notifying support of unauthorized access. You may not share access in a way that bypasses plan limits or security controls.

3. Your business data and third-party information

You retain responsibility for the invoices, bills, transactions, customer and vendor records, documents, reports, and other content you enter or upload. You grant Pocket Accountant the limited rights needed to host, process, display, transmit, back up, and provide requested features. You must have authority to enter information about other people or businesses.

4. Accounting, tax, and financial disclaimer

Pocket Accountant provides recordkeeping, organizational, calculation, reporting, categorization, estimation, and educational tools. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, lending, or financial advice. You remain responsible for reviewing records, filings, payment obligations, classifications, and business decisions and for consulting qualified professionals when needed.

5. Bank connections and automated features

Bank-feed information may be supplied by Plaid, financial institutions, or other providers and can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or inaccurate. AI Assistant and automated suggestions may also be inaccurate. Users must review imported transactions, matches, categories, routes, estimates, and generated responses before relying on them.

6. Subscriptions, payments, renewals, and cancellations

Paid features may require a recurring subscription. Web purchases may be processed by Stripe, Android purchases by Google Play, and iPhone purchases by Apple. Prices, billing periods, taxes, renewal terms, trial terms, and cancellation controls are shown through the applicable purchase flow. Canceling stops future renewal but generally does not create a refund for the current paid period unless required by law or the payment provider's rules.

7. Mobile app stores and communications

Apple and Google may impose additional store terms and control store-managed billing, refunds, and subscription cancellation. We may send security, password-reset, billing, account, support, invoice, report, and service-related messages. Marketing messages, if used, will provide applicable opt-out choices.

8. Acceptable use

• Do not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or harmful activity.
• Do not probe, attack, disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or bypass security or access controls except where the law expressly permits.
• Do not upload malicious code or content you do not have the right to use.
• Do not impersonate another person or use the service to violate third-party rights.

9. Third-party, beta, sandbox, and pre-release services

Connected services such as Plaid, Stripe, Google, Apple, email providers, AI providers, and financial institutions are governed by their own terms and availability. Beta, sandbox, preview, and pre-release features may be incomplete, change without notice, or contain errors and should not be used as the sole basis for critical decisions.

10. Cancellation, deletion, suspension, and termination

You may stop using the service and request account deletion through available controls or support. Subscription cancellation may need to be completed with the original billing provider. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, nonpayment, unlawful activity, security concerns, legal risk, or operational harm. Certain records may be retained where required or permitted.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Pocket Accountant is provided as is and as available without guarantees of uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or loss-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pocket Accountant and V Investment Capital LLC disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, exemplary, lost-profit, business-interruption, tax-penalty, professional-fee, or data-loss damages. Any total liability is limited as stated in the full in-app Terms.

12. Indemnity, governing law, and miscellaneous terms

You agree to be responsible for claims arising from unlawful use, your content, violation of these Terms, or violation of third-party rights. The Terms are governed by Florida law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Export-control and sanctions rules apply. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue.
